Product Description

Graphite rod is most frequently used in the heating element of high temperature vacuum furnace, and the highest temperature of the graphite rod can reach 3000ºC.
Graphite block and rod properties
1) High temperature resistant type: Graphite has a melting point of 3850±50°C and a boiling point of 4250°C. Even if it is burned by an ultra-high temperature electric arc, the loss of weight is small, and the coefficient of thermal expansion is also small. The graphite strength increases with increasing temperature, and at 2000°C, the graphite strength is doubled.
2) Conductivity and thermal conductivity: The electrical conductivity of graphite is 100 times higher than that of non-metallic minerals. Thermal 
conductivity exceeds metal materials such as steel, iron, and lead. Thermal conductivity decreases with increasing temperature, and even at extremely high temperatures, graphite becomes a thermal insulator.
3) Lubricity: The smaller the friction coefficient, the better the lubrication performance.
4) Chemical stability: Graphite has good chemical stability at room temperature and is resistant to acid, alkali and organic solvents.
5) Thermal shock resistance: When graphite is used at room temperature, it can withstand dramatic changes in temperature without damage. 


When the temperature changes abruptly, the volume of graphite does not change much and cracks do not occur.
